Eye Care for Animals is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician Practice Leader to join our Ophthalmology team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Annapolis, MD.About You
You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients. You will also partner closely with hospital and regional leadership while acting as a point person on shift in the clinic. This role is 70% veterinary technician duties, 30% administrative/leadership duties.

Your Experience & Skills
• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
• Superior/advanced technical skills
• Has 2 years of supervisory experience (in a veterinary clinic setting)
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self-motivated
• Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $23-$24/hour (non-credentialed) - $25-$27/hour (credentialed). The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
