In your day-to-day, you will:
- Manage oncology cases in close collaboration with specialty and emergency teams.
- Oversee chemotherapy protocols and ensure compliance with USP 800 safety standards.
- Support daily client communication, including treatment updates, medication management, and patient care discussions.
- Mentor chemo-trained technicians, assistants, and support staff.
- Pursue growth opportunities in clinical research, advanced diagnostics, and emerging cancer therapies.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Illinois veterinary licensure.
- Board Certification in Medical Oncology (DACVIM-Oncology) or residency-trained in Medical Oncology.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
