Job DescriptionInternal Medicine Specialist
Full time opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona
Why Join VetMED Specialty and Emergency Hospital
At VetMED, you'll do more than practice. You'll have the opportunity to build and shape a new Internal Medicine service within an established specialty and emergency hospital. A leader in compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine since 2010, VetMED is now under new leadership with a renewed focus on creating a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented hospital culture.
You'll work in an environment where advanced medicine, mentorship, and teamwork come together to deliver an exceptional experience for both patients and clinicians. Your Internal Medicine service will be supported by our on-site Dermatology service, Critical Care, and a strong 24/7 Emergency team. The hospital is led by a board certified Criticalist, providing experienced clinical leadership and fostering a collaborative culture focused on exceptional patient care.
As the founding Internal Medicine specialist, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the vision, structure, and growth of the service. You'll build relationships with referring veterinarians, develop your caseload, establish workflows, and help identify the equipment and resources needed to support the service as it grows. With an established referral community, experienced technicians, and the infrastructure of a busy specialty and emergency hospital, you'll have a strong foundation from which to build.
VetMED's leadership is committed to building a positive, supportive environment where doctors, technicians, and support teams work together, communicate openly, and feel empowered to contribute to the hospital's continued growth. You'll also have opportunities to collaborate with and leverage the experience of Internists throughout the Ethos Veterinary Health network, both locally in the Phoenix area and across the country.
As part of Ethos, your voice, growth, and expertise truly matter.
