Veterinary Criticalist Opportunity at Los Angeles Animal Specialty Emergency and Rehabilitation (LAASER)


Los Angeles Animal Specialty Emergency & Rehabilitation (LAASER) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Criticalist to join our multidisciplinary specialty and emergency team. Our Criticalist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the care of critically ill and emergency patients, as well as assisting in receiving emergency cases alongside our emergency veterinarians. This role includes stabilizing complex cases, performing intensive monitoring, and implementing evidence-based critical care protocols to ensure the highest level of patient care. Additionally, the Criticalist will communicate with pet owners and referring veterinarians to ensure seamless case management and maintain accurate, thorough medical records.

What We Are Looking For:

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
• Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency & Critical Care (DACVECC)
• California veterinary licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
• Strong clinical skills and confidence in managing complex ICU and emergency cases
• Proficiency in advanced critical care procedures
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to work within a multi-specialty environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuing education
