Description

Position Type: Part-Time- Some Saturdays shifts required.
Experience Level: Experienced Veterinary Assistant
Practice: Busy, fast-paced veterinary practice with four doctors
Pay: $22-25 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our busy four-doctor practice. Our team works hard, supports one another, and takes pride in providing exceptional care to our clients and patients.
The ideal candidate is confident in a veterinary hospital setting, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with exotic species is not required, but is a definite plus.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant in a busy practice
- Strong animal-handling and patient-care skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, professional approach with clients and patients
- Dependable, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Exotic animal experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist doctors and technicians with appointments and patient care
- Safely restrain and handle a variety of patients
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with treatments and procedures
- Obtain and record patient information and histories
- Provide compassionate care and monitoring of hospitalized patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the practice
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Help keep the hospital running smoothly and efficiently
