Who are we?

Exciting opportunity for a mixed practice Veterinarian, located in the picturesque Macedon Ranges at Kyneton in Central Victoria, to join a 10 vet / 14 support staff practice in a well-serviced sub-regional centre, less than one hour by road or rail from Melbourne and Bendigo, and by road from Ballarat. 

 A highly supportive environment for New/recent Graduates or Experienced Veterinarians. 

Our long-established family owned, run and focused practice is looking for one mixed practice veterinarian part-time (negotiable) 3-4 days per week with one night on call per week and one weekend in 5, to add to our close-knit team. 

 We have been in our well-equipped, brand-new purpose-built clinic since August 2024. Our clients and we practice high standards of care, consistent with the needs and capacity of clients.

Our veterinary team ranges across experience levels and interests to support and encourage development of associate veterinarians.

Equipment & facilities

Full in-house IDEXX suite, with internal and external referral support readily available as needed.
Dedicated theatres, quality anaesthesia machines and monitoring equipment and ultrasound and imaging suite, including iM3 dental equipment and dental X-rays
Well-equipped for outcalls and production animal work.

We are proud to provide a supportive environment for all staff, especially for new graduates. 

Our workforce is very stable with extremely low turnover of vets and our high-quality support staff. A pre-planned support program is ready for new graduates while they settle in. We have been actively involved in extra-mural student teaching for many years and have associations with all Australian veterinary schools. We are actively involved with the AVA Thrive programme.

 Duties are rotated amongst staff to give all vets opportunities to develop their interests. 

Rosters are adjusted to maximise consecutive days off and to suit the individual as far as possible. We have a family friendly culture and approach.

Salary is paid per hour (rate depending on experience), so there is no unpaid over-time, with generous after-hours profit-sharing scheme. Current after-hours ratio 1:5.

 Supported AVA and CVE memberships with many CE opportunities.
