Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our Emergency & Critical Care team.

This role is ideal for a doctor who is comfortable managing emergency cases independently, values teamwork, and wants to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

      Perform patient evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment planning

      Manage outpatient and hospitalized emergency cases

      Perform emergency procedures, including centeses, CPR, wound repair, and stabilization

      Interpret diagnostics, including laboratory work, radiographs, and point-of-care ultrasound (AFAST/TFAST)

      Collaborate with specialists and nursing staff on case management

      Communicate effectively with clients and referring to veterinarians

      Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Qualifications

      DVM or VMD from an accredited institution

      Licensed or eligible for licensure in Maryland

      Emergency medicine experience preferred

      Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

      Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Schedule

      Full-time position

      Day, swing, and overnight opportunities available

      Shared weekend rotation
