Duties:
Professionalism: navigate interpersonal, digital, and oral correspondence with pet owners and referring veterinarians.
Possess the ability to coach and mentor lesser experienced colleagues
Administer medications, perform treatments per DVM instruction and accurately document necessary medical information.
Respond quickly and calmly to crises while maintaining a high standard of client and patient care.
Communication: Effectively and clearly communicate with DVMs, the needs of patients and owners in high stress situations.
Additional skills include: small animal restraint and handling; basic and advanced nursing care; mastered venipuncture and IV catheterization; ability to calculate and administer medications; lab sample handling and running in-house lab equipment; basic sedation and anesthesia monitoring; general knowledge of veterinary medicine, including basic knowledge of emergency medicine and procedures.
This position participates in weekend and holiday rotations.
Overnight and weekend differential applies for some shifts.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in Veterinary Medicine.
Knowledge of animal handling and nursing.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Qualified candidates are excellent communicators and multi-taskers, who are able to work independently, and function as a part of a team. They should be detail oriented and able to provide exceptional patient care combined with professional client communication.
Must be able to lift 40lbs.
Basic knowledge of emergency medicine is preferred but not required.
CVT preferred but not required.
