With a Monday–Friday schedule (8:30 AM–5:30 PM) and easy access to hiking, skiing, biking, and everything the mountains have to offer, you'll have time to enjoy life outside of work.
We're looking for a Veterinary Technician who loves surgery and wants to play a key role in growing our surgical program. If you thrive in the operating room, enjoy anesthesia, and want to work alongside doctors who value and trust their technicians, we'd love to meet you.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during a variety of soft tissue and dental procedures, as well as the occasional emergency.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including pre-anesthetic assessments, IV catheter placement, and surgical site preparation
- Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive patient care throughout surgical procedures and recovery
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments, packs, and the operating suite
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics including bloodwork, radiographs, cytology, and laboratory sample collection
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarians
- Triage patients and provide support during urgent and emergency cases
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient care
- Mentor veterinary assistants as our team continues to grow
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
- Handle patients with confidence, compassion, and respect
What You Bring
- Active CVT license in good standing (required)
- Passion for surgery, anesthesia, and high-quality patient care
- Strong technical nursing skills with confidence in anesthesia monitoring and perioperative care
- Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to continue learning
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
- Experience with large animals or exotics is a bonus, but not required
