Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian Part-Time | Weekend Role (Fri–Sun to 10pm | Optional Thurs Evening) $180,000–$200,000 + super (pro-rata, based on experience) Bundaberg Emergency Animal Hospital – Bundaberg, QLD

About the Role We’re seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our weekend ECC team, delivering high-quality emergency care and managing a diverse inpatient caseload.
This position is ideal for:
An ECC vet seeking a balanced, well-supported environment
An experienced GP vet wanting to transition into emergency work
A clinician looking to reduce weekday workload while maintaining strong income
The role will include:
Emergency consultations, triage, and case stabilisation
Ongoing inpatient management and case continuity
Working closely with a highly trained ECC nursing team
Handover and collaboration with our GP and hospital teams
Emergency-only caseload — no routine GP consulting
Structured, well-paced workflow — focus on quality care, not volume
Modern, purpose-built hospital with strong clinical systems and support
Roster & Flexibility Friday, Saturday & Sunday shifts until 10pm Optional Thursday evening shift Option for 3 weekends per month Accommodation provided for travel-in vets (no relocation required) Designed to offer consistency, flexibility, and work-life balance

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years clinical experience
Confidence in triage, stabilisation, and emergency case management
Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
A genuine interest in high-quality emergency and patient care
