Position Summary
CompanAIn is seeking a clinically grounded Small Animal Veterinarian who is interested in shaping the future of responsible AI in veterinary medicine. This role goes beyond content development: you will directly influence clinical safety architecture, reasoning quality, and crossecosystem partnerships. Ideal for a clinician who is thoughtful, collaborative, systemsminded, and excited about modernizing preventive and chronic care through evidence-forward innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence & Safety Frameworks
Develop and refine speciesspecific protocols, details to be discussed.
Establish clinical nuances that ensure accuracy, transparency, and responsible use.
Veterinary Product & Insight Development
Define the structure and quality bar for “clinician-grade” summaries and insights.
Review and evaluate edge-case analysis and reasoning quality checks.
Professional Partnerships & Community Engagement
Collaborate with general practices, specialty services, shelters/rescues, academic/industry partners, and commercial organizations.
Support pilot programs and feedback loops that strengthen product-market fit and clinical utility.
Clinic–Owner Continuity Support
Contribute to features that reduce cognitive load for veterinarians and increase owner preparedness, including (but not limited to) thought-ladership and eminence pieces, white papers, social media content reels, and more.

Requirements
Required
DVM/VMD with small animal clinical experience
Strong clinical judgment and comfort designing or evaluating protocols
Collaborative communication style; low ego, high standards
Interest in evidence-based medicine and responsible innovation
Preferred
Exposure to internal medicine, geriatrics, multipet household dynamics, GI/allergy cases, or chronic disease management
Experience with teaching, mentoring, practice change management, or cross-functional partnerships
Interest in clinical informatics, datainformed care, or guideline development
