Description
Oradell Animal Hospital is looking to expand our Cardiology Service. We currently have one full-time board-certified cardiologist, and we are looking to add one or even two additional cardiologists.
Oradell is a dynamic and collaborative privately-owned hospital that has provided small animal care for the residents of Northern New Jersey and the New York Hudson Valley for over 50 years. We are a full-service AAHA accredited hospital with VetCOT certified level II trauma center. Our staff includes 60+ veterinarians including board-certified specialists in cardiology (1), emergency and critical care (3), surgery (3), internal medicine (5), neurology (3), oncology (2), exotics (2), and nutrition (1). Our emergency and critical care service includes 18 staff doctors and 4 residents. Our 14 general interns also rotate through all services, including cardiology, and assist with
overnight care. We also have a primary care practice with 10 general practitioners.
Our 24-hour facility provides a robust and diverse caseload, and we have a dedicated clientele who are committed to quality pet care. You will have access to the equipment, support staff, and colleagues needed to provide the best possible patient care. Currently, the cardiology service uses a Philips EpiQ CVX2D Insight Plus for echocardiograms. There also is a secondary unit, a Canon Aplio i900, that is shared with the internal medicine service. The latter unit is also equipped with a TE probe. The invasive cardiology suite hosts a Siemens Cios Alpha C-arm and a BioPac MP160 Invasive Pressure Monitoring system. The service uses a Mac 5500 HD ECG unit that feeds directly into the Philips echocardiogram unit, as well as a Dextronix Cardioscout Vet ECG system. The service uses the ALBA Medical Monitoring System for Holter and Event monitors. Currently there are 6 monitors for use. Our critical care unit is equipped with telemetry, with display monitors in both the CCU and the cardiology area, as well as multiple oxygen kennels.
Northeastern New Jersey supports a wide variety of interests outside of veterinary medicine. Our hospital is less than 1 hour from Manhattan via car or train. We also are close to the Catskill Mountains as well as the Jersey Shore. Bergen County has some of the best schools in the nation.
