Knapp Veterinary Hospital (KVH) is a small animal general practice located in Columbus, Ohio, in the Clintonville/Beechwold neighborhood. Established in 1945, KVH is a 3rd generation DVM owned practice, serving a diverse client base that practices along the entire spectrum of care. Our staff includes 5 long term associate DVM's, 9 full time equivalent registered veterinary technicians, supported by 20 experienced team members working together in a collaborative environment, providing veterinary medical, surgical and dental care to our patients. Mentoring is a shared responsibility among all staff members, as we believe in a collaborative and supportive environment for both experienced and developing veterinarians. We focus on disease prevention and wellness and client education, utilizing electronic medical records with fully integrated imaging and laboratory results.
We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated, high-energy team! As a
busy, full-service small animal hospital, we pride ourselves on practicing comprehensive diagnostic
medicine and delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients.
What You’ll Do
As part of our medical team, you’ll play a vital role in patient care and hospital operations, including:
Providing personalized nursing care — administering medications, nebulizing, feeding through
esophageal tubes, performing laser therapy, taking vitals, bandaging, wound care, placing IV
catheters, and giving SQ fluids
Preparing and monitoring patients for a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures
Collecting laboratory samples using multiple techniques for diagnostic testing
Taking high-quality digital and dental radiographs
Communicating effectively with clients and providing education on patient care and treatment plans
What We’re Looking For
Licensed RVT in the state of Ohio (or eligible for licensure soon)
Strong skills in client communication and customer service
Interest or advanced training in Anesthesia, Dentistry, or Behavior is a plus
We welcome students nearing graduation or recent graduates working toward licensure
