As a Certified Veterinary Technician, your expertise and ideas will be valued and encouraged. We want our technicians to work to the top of their license, continuing to learn, grow, and help shape the standard of care we provide.
Position Duties Include:
- Accurate digital record keeping (EzyVet practice management system)
- Directing and mentoring veterinary assistants
- Assisting with surgical and dental procedures within the scope of certification
- Safe and compassionate patient handling and restraint
- Administering medications and filling prescriptions
- Performing venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Capturing digital and dental radiographs
- Collecting, preparing, and processing laboratory samples (in-house and reference lab)
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of treatment and hospital areas
- Cleaning, packaging, and maintaining surgical instruments
- Providing peri-operative and post-operative care under veterinary supervision
- Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients
Requirements
- Active veterinary technician credential (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT)
- Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and electronic) with clients and teammates
- Commitment to building long-term relationships with clients and the community
- Competency with computer systems and electronic medical records
- A team-oriented mindset and a compassionate approach to patient care
